Hi. I joined and then left DN about eight or so years ago while I was in the process of adjusting to being deaf. I was shocked by the amount of Hostility shown toward the latent deaf by the Born Deaf. I didn't think it possible but there it was- human nature- discrimiantion even by those you would think would be the most compassionate. I'm glad to see, so far , that has gone. And Im glad the implant fury is gone too. People need to see the procedure depends on the individual's needs. I can't tell you how many times a well intentioned hearing person mention the CI's. ... I no longer go into it. I just say No and change the subject. Good set up now. Thanks
